The acceptance and shipment of a PV-100 screw-type dust discharger, manufactured to order for one of the leaders in the metallurgical industry, PJSC Severstal, has been successfully completed at our facility.
The equipment will perform a critical function: ensuring the controlled discharge of top gas dust from the blast furnace’s dust catcher. Top gas dust is an inherent by-product of the blast furnace process, and its efficient and safe removal directly impacts the stability of the furnace operation, environmental performance, and the potential for its secondary processing.
A delegation of technical specialists from PJSC Severstal visited our facility to conduct the acceptance inspection of this critical unit. The customer’s representatives carried out a thorough inspection of the dust discharger, confirming its full compliance with the stringent requirements for blast furnace equipment.
Particular attention in this project was paid to adapting the design to challenging operating conditions. Understanding that the equipment will handle hot material, key modifications were made to the design by our technical department at the customer’s request. Additional thermal protection for the housing was designed and installed, which will provide reliable protection for the dust discharger’s components from high temperatures and extend its service life.
The successful completion of this order confirms the high level of our company’s expertise in the design and manufacture of complex process equipment for the metallurgical industry. We are proud that our solution will become part of the heart of one of the country’s largest metallurgical combines and will contribute to its efficient and safe operation.
